School Field Trip Fundraiser

Each year Fifth Grade Students at Webutuck Elementary School look forward to their special school trip. This year teachers, parents and other community members participated in a silent auction to raise funds for the school trip.
The event was held on Dec. 8 and many people showed up to bid on a variety of items, with the proceeds going to fund the students’ trip to Montreal. This year was extra special because it would be the final overnight school trip for the fifth graders.
“We did really well and raised about $7,000″ said Valarie Corcoran, president of the Webutuck PTA and mother of a fifth-grader. “About 75 people attended and it was a lot of fun.”
