Applications for TSF $5,000 Grant Due December 31, 2008

If you haven’t submitted your application for the Top School Fundraiser grant, worth up to $5,000, you only have a couple of weeks left to get it in. With many schools working overtime to keep pace with their fundraising goals, this is a great opportunity.
The goal of this grant program is to help schools pay for any kind of educationally-related program or equipment. While it cannot be used for bricks and mortar type projects, there is still an amazingly broad scope of possibilities. A computer software program, a guest speaker, a field trip, new text books- these are all the kinds of things that this grant could cover. But, don’t be limited by just these suggestions! Anything that could help further the education of your students is open for consideration.
The application process is simple. You can find everything you need by visiting the home page for the grant program, which can be found here. We do ask you to make a brief presentation to us. This presentation can be in the form of a video, a Power Point display, or even something as simple as a written document. However, since we are currently sifting through piles of entries, we suggest that you make yours as creative and informative as you can. Make your school stand out from the rest!
The total of the grant is $5,000. The review committee may decide to award the entire amount to one school or distribute into five gifts of $1,000 each. It’s up to the quality of applications. Don’t be afraid to ask for the entire amount!
Any public, private or charter school, pre K-12, in the US or Canada may apply and the deadline for submission is December 31, 2008. The winner or winners will be announced in February of 2009. Stay tuned!
